Pim has a background in continental philosophy and macroeconomics. At the think tank, he focuses on a number of tasks: conducting research within our key domains for both clients and internal research projects, leading our knowledge management, and developing frameworks of change. These frameworks are our fundamental theoretical models that map and analyze developments and trends in technology, geopolitics, economics, and culture. Furthermore, these are the tools with which we interpret current affairs and ‘weak signals’ for our future-oriented research. This is integrated in our knowledge platforms and protocols, from which we construct scenarios and gauge where the world is heading. Pim is Interested in a wide range of topics, primarily in the philosophy of history and economics, metamodernism and cultural anthropology.
